1. Provisioning Address Pools

Exact production IP pools and routing plans are operator-specific and belong in restricted configuration/runbooks.

NMS Prime can manage separate pools for cable modems, customer devices, voice endpoints, and other provisioning roles. Defaults are defined by ProvBase configuration and can be overridden through installation environment files.

1.1. Guidelines

Use non-overlapping ranges approved by network engineering
Document public/private/CGNAT intent
Coordinate DHCP, routing, firewall, DNS, and monitoring configuration
Do not copy historical ranges into a new installation without review
