User Stories (Prime Dashboard)

Business stories for Prime Dashboard. Plain language for operators, NOC, and delivery.

NMS Prime is a CRM, BSS and OSS platform for ISPs and Telcos.

Stories

1. Start the day from one screen

As an operator I want the home screen to show today’s contracts, tickets, and date so that I do not hunt across menus for the operational picture.

Done when:

  • Dashboard opens after login

  • Contract and ticket widgets show sensible counts (or a clear empty state)

  • Date widget shows today

2. Spot network trouble quickly

As a NOC engineer I want impaired-service summary on the home screen so that I know where to dig first.

Done when:

  • Trouble summary appears when Detect rights and data exist

  • Empty / healthy state is understandable when nothing is impaired

3. Watch modem online rates

As a field ops lead I want modem online vs all on the dashboard so that I can judge plant health at a glance.

Done when:

  • Online / all figures are visible after the scheduled refresh

  • Health state is readable (OK / warning / critical)

4. Jump into my tickets

As a customer care agent I want my open-ticket count with a direct link so that I start work without searching.

Done when:

  • Own-ticket widget appears for users with ticket rights

  • Link opens the ticket list / anchor as expected

5. Follow install next steps

As an admin on a new system I want the news panel to tell me the next secure step so that I do not leave default credentials or an empty network.

Done when:

  • Default-password warning appears until changed

  • Empty-modem / install guidance appears until basic provisioning exists

6. See what just changed

As a supervisor I want a short activity timeline so that I can spot unexpected edits.

Done when:

  • Recent non-cron changes are listed

  • Entries identify who changed what, at a high level

7. Permission-safe home

As a security-conscious ISP I want widgets to respect module presence and rights so that users only see what they may use.

Done when:

  • Users without ticket rights do not see ticket widgets

  • Users without Detect rights do not see trouble panels
